Creativity: Thinking Outside the Box: ambrosia maple and walnut – 37”

This sculpture celebrates innovative creativity; or "thinking outside the box.”

The box in the sculpture is made of black walnut and the ribbons are ambrosia maple.  Dark stains and worm-like holes in the maple are the work of ambrosia beetles that lived in the tree while it grew.
